Demography anew

This interesting tidbit by Mark Steyn of National Review/Corner:
. . . I asked, "Will China be the hyperpower of the 21st century?", and answered no: It will get old before it's got rich.

Like Japan and Russia and the "experts" at The Economist, China has now begun to figure it out. From the London Times:

China Steps Back From One-Child Policy

By the way, demographic decline is one more reason why they're never gonna sign on to the ecochondriacs' emissions regime. A cheap labor market with aging and dwindling labor doesn't need any more self-inflicted wounds.

My only gripe with Mr. Steyn is that he, like many others, use "China" to mean the Commie regime currently controlling the country. He is making a very good point there, I just wish that he does not mixed the ruling Commie regime with "China". The regime can and will collapse any time, sooner or later, just like the old soviet Union. But China will be there forever!

That incredibly speedy sinking!

That incredibly speedy sinking!

We've Figured Him Out!

Here's the latest Ben Stein article in American Spectator everyone should read and re-read it again and enjoy. Oh yes, it is called "We've Figured Him Out! I was wondering about that too:
Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.
Yes, beloved America, it's time to wake up!

America, let hope remain!

Impostor admitted

A-ha, they can no longer cover it up! This Opinion piece just appeared in LA Times this afternoon:

How to really shut up the Obama 'birthers"
Short answer: Amend the Constitution.

I say this because some of the commentary in reaction to the suddenly resurfacing movement to prove that President Obama isn't a natural-board citizen -- fueled in part by filthy-rich average guy Lou Dobbs -- has blamed the Internet for providing the outlet that hateful, xenophobic conspiracy theorists don't deserve. In his otherwise funny and effective column today on Dobbs, The Times' own James Rainey makes this rote statement: "I often hear from disgruntled readers that they don't pay attention to the dread 'Mainstream Media' because they can find 'the truth' on the Internet. Translation: Some blogger will please them by propping up just about any cockeyed theory that they hold."

Unacknowledged in the wake of the Dobbsian nuttiness is the real villain of the Obama birther movement: The Constitution. It's precisely this sacred document that seeds the conspiracy theories over where President Obama was really born. Sure, the Internet does indeed facilitate such craziness (just as it facilitates smart observations that don't have an outlet in newspapers), but none of this would be possible without the following part of Article II, Section 1 in the Constitution: "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

So what should be completely irrelevant -- where Obama's parents were on a single day in 1961, an accident of history over which the president had no control but that could have disqualified him from office -- becomes legal cover for those who just want to "enforce the law." Witness Rep. John Campbell (R-California) using this defense to support a bill he sponsored to require presidential candidates to supply a birth certificate as proof of citizenship.

It's the Constitution that seeds this lunacy, and yes, the Internet allows it to grow. But amending the natural-born clause out of the Constitution (which The Times' editorial board supports) would remove that seed (plus be more fair to millions of naturalized U.S. citizens, and leave our country better off).

And no, I don't think Obama was born in Kenya.

I copied the whole thing here because I have a feeling that it might be disappeared some time soon. Because the main issues that this piece admitted here Barack Obama may not wish to readily admit it yet. In fact this Opinion piece admits:

1) Barack Obama is indeed NOT likely to be a natural born citizen as the Constitution required.

2) It called the "Article II, section 1 of the Constitution" the villain but admits that Obama did not and could not satisfy this requirement.

3) So until the Constitution is constitutionally amended, Obama is currently constitutionally unqualified to be POTUS. So Obama and all the people he appointed are all impostors right now.

So really, not all Obama supporters as mindless idiots. This Opinion piece today posted by Paul Thornton is rather a breath of fresh air. That's why I have my doubt if this piece will be acceptable to the Obama Polit Bureau and how long the piece will stay on LA Times' web site. Because even if the Constitution can be successfully amended, that will only be applying to future elections. Lunacy or otherwise, Obama will always be an impostor, no matter what. May be that's why BHO is in such a hurry in trying to push through his marxist agendas.

Now that his being an impostor is admitted from the other side! God bless America!

Poetic nature!

This news from AP today:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Cool weather has broken a previous low temperature for July 21 in Nashville that was set when Rutherford B. Hayes was president.

When the temperature at the National Weather Service station dipped to 58 degrees at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, it wiped out the previous record low for the date of 60 degrees, which was set in 1877.

NWS forecaster Bobby Boyd noted it was the third consecutive morning when Nashville either tied or broke a daily low temperature record.
Isn't Tennessee the home state of the global warming alarmist kingpin Algore?

The Honduran coup that wasn't!

I did not know that I can be well informed from an article in Los Angeles Times. But wittingly or otherwise, I found this LAT article today, "The Honduran coup that wasn't", by William Ratliff of Hoover Institution, extremely educational. I think it should be a "must read" by all Americans, because you just may have been un-informed like me, or even mis-informed, about what is really happening in Hunduras right now. As:
We have heard a lot about Honduras lately, but there is much more at issue than the nighttime removal of President Manuel Zelaya on June 28 and its aftermath. The far bigger story is the disgrace of the world's major international political and economic organizations. (Emphase added.)

The Organization of American States and its ambitious leader, Jose Miguel Insulza, took the lead in dealing with the crisis. The OAS gave the new de facto Honduran government three days to restore Zelaya or suffer suspension from the organization. Tegucigalpa responded by quitting first.

But the OAS, the United Nations, the European Union, the World Bank and others were all shooting from the hip into the dark. These leaders had nothing to inform their decisions but fuzzy idealism, ideological prejudices, assorted self-interests and profound ignorance of realities on the ground in Honduras.

But that was good enough for them. Insulza rejected conversations among contending parties in favor of macho confrontation, ultimatums and polarization, to the cheers of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and other Chavistas. To their great shame, every OAS member-nation went along with Insulza. The OAS is indeed the Organization of American Sheep.

The Obama administration kept a low profile while setting up talks between the two sides, mediated by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias. The talks themselves -- as well as the U.S. focus on mediation rather than just confrontation -- brought howls of rage from Chavez.

The OAS declaimed its eternal rejection of the "anti-democratic," "anti-constitutional" "military coup" by the new government. But it was Zelaya who was in the wrong. The OAS diplomats can't have it both ways -- professing their unshakable dedication to national constitutions and the rule of law even as they militantly make a hero of a country's No. 1 lawbreaker.
Now here's what the idiots really did not want American people to know:
What didn't the OAS, the U.N. and other leaders know that before ordering Hondurans around? As Honduran lawyer Octavio Sanchez pointed out in the Christian Science Monitor, when Zelaya issued a decree ordering a referendum on changing presidential terms, he "triggered a constitutional provision that automatically removed him from office." (Google the Honduran Constitution and read it for yourself -- Article 239.) Zelaya had ousted himself, so impeachment was unnecessary. (Emphase added.)

So it was quite legal for the military to remove Zelaya, though the nighttime act gave an impression of a military coup to outsiders. (Emphase added.)

It is Zelaya, Insulza, Chavez, the U.N. and all the OAS member-states who are playing at banana republic politics, not the government in Tegucigalpa.
How can any one bear not to admire the Honduran Constitution Article 239? Unfortunately I am not sure there's an equivalent article in U.S. Constitution to do the same. Our founding fathers never envisage that some people can sink so low, so that they did not include a provision for removing the elected president in our constitution. So, nothing, alas, not even Monica Lewinsky's blue dress can help to carried it out.

Obama change you can count on!

And this from Dick Morris:

Obama’s health care proposal is, in effect, the repeal of the Medicare program as we know it. The elderly will go from being the group with the most access to free medical care to the one with the least access. Indeed, the principal impact of the Obama health care program will be to reduce sharply the medical services the elderly can use. No longer will their every medical need be met, their every medication prescribed, their every need to improve their quality of life answered.

It is so ironic that the elderly - who were so vigilant when Bush proposed to change Social Security - are so relaxed about the Obama health care proposals. Bush’s Social Security plan, which did not cut their benefits at all, aroused the strongest opposition among the elderly. But Obama’s plan, which will totally gut Medicare and replace it with government-managed care and rationing, has elicited little more than a yawn from most senior citizens.

It’s time for the elderly to wake up before it is too late!

Yes, wake up, elderly Americans, et al., before it is too late!

Arrogance of 52.7%

Politics is not science

DJ Drummond of Wizbang Politics blog had a great objective assessment on 2008 presidential election yesterday entitled "Politics is not a science." His first paragraph is particularly germane. Obamania supporters may not like it, but they can hardly disagree:
The fact that Barack Obama was elected President is a pretty clear indicator that Politics is not scientific. That is, with all due respect to the President, his resume was the thinnest in memory, with no real substance to support his claims that he should lead the country. Nevertheless, Barack Obama won, defeating first a powerful Democratic party rival with an impressive political resume and efficient campaign machine, then a Republican opponent with far greater experience on most of the issues important to voters. In the 2008 election, however, style won over substance, although it may be fairly argued that neither party's nominee made an effective case on the merits of their qualifications.
I think Obama's major accomplishment in 2008 was that he proved Abraham Lincoln wrong in thinking about fooling all of the people all of the time. One never needs to fooling all of the people all of the time. Just barely 52.7 % is sufficient to enable him to go around and scream "I win." Who needs "all of the people"? By the time"all of the people" realize that they have been fooled, it will be much too late, as much of those who in the 52.7 % have already found out in 2009.

DJ Drummond is not optimistic about 2012. Neither am I. What saddens me the most is that unfortunately my grandchildren will be the ones that suffer the consequence of the 2008 mishap. But I am fully confident that American will totally recover. I have more faith in future generations than the current one. God Bless America!

Wake up!

The Obamania media (aka the "mainstream" media) will not tell American people the truth of what is going on in the world. They are only too happy to swamp Americans with Jacko gossips. Here are just two things that American are not being duly informed:

(1) According to Cliff Kincaid of Canada Free Press: On Tuesday the leftist governments of Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez sponsored a United Nations resolution that condemned the people of Honduras for resisting the spread of communism by evicting a would-be dictator, “Mel” Zelaya. Many people in Honduras view “Mel” as a puppet of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, who is destroying the democratic system and the opposition in that country.

(2) According to this Message from Honduras, "There has NOT been a coup in Honduras. The country is NOT in crisis."

Did you know all these? Hey plea ignorant and play indifference are no excuses to see your own country going down the drain also. Aren't you shocked, or at least surprised, that your elected 52.5% leader so willingly to team up with the leftest Chavez, Ortega, and Castro brothers to condemn the brave people of a small country trying to defend their Constitution?

Look what have you done last November?

Wake up America! If he is so eager to ignore and destroy other country's Constitution, do you think he really care about our own U.S. Constitution?

It took 233 years to build our great country today. Don't let the Commie followers to destroy us in a few months.

Wake up!
