Present and future of the past

This following picture is a famous one in the U.S. history:

It happened on July 24, 1963 in the Rose Garden of the White House, as the saying goes: the rest is history!

By the way they both occupy certain deserved positions in the history, for better or worse, but neither of them had the need to spent millions of dollars to fight off law suits in the court against people merely wish to see their birth certificate! For an idiot in that position afraid of others seeing his original birth certificate, what's a pity!?

News your news source not reporting

Isn't this UPI picture impressive? It's Iranian students and opposition supporters demonstrate against the Iranian government at Tehran University on December 7, 2009 in Tehran,Iran. The protest was the largest in months. But if you are still count on the drive-by Obabamania media gangs ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, CNN and the likes for news source you probably will not see this one. Don't ask me why. I wonder about it myself. Those people just have a very curious mind set. For the same token, you probably have not heard that there is a climategate right now. Here's a good summary by Gregory Fegel in Pravda:
The Internet has been abuzz throughout the past week with the news of what everyone is calling ‘Climategate’ -- a major scandal involving leaked emails and data from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Located in the town of Norwich in the United Kingdom, the Climatic Research Unit is a primary center for the ‘science’ that supports the theory of Global Warming. The CRU provides ‘scientific’ advice and guidance to the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

On November 17th an anonymous whistleblower downloaded email and data files from computers at the Climatic Research Unit and, using a Internet server based in Russia, posted them on a ‘Global Warming skeptic’ website called The Air Vent. Soon thereafter the files were forwarded to numerous other ‘skeptic’ websites and news outlets. The leaked files include more than 1,000 emails and about 3,000 documents, and they provide abundant evidence of falsification of data among the scientists at the forefront of promoting the theory of Global Warming.

. . .

The emails and documents reveal that the scientists at the CRU and their colleagues in the USA not only falsified their data to ‘prove’ Global Warming, they also collaborated to prevent qualified scientists who disagreed with the theory of Global Warming from publishing or participating in the ‘peer reviews’ process. The belief in Global Warming among scientists is not a consensus; it is a dictatorship.
and some sober implications:

‘Climategate’ is not an ordinary case of falsifying data by a few rogue scientists. The fraudulent theory of Global Warming has provided the basis for an international political movement which has the stated goal of completely restructuring the entire global economy based on that fraudulent theory. ‘Global Warming’ is a con game perpetrated by dishonest scientists and the government and corporate leaders who provide the corrupt scientists with opportunities for advancement.

If we fail to stop the further politicization and institutionalization of the fraudulent theory of Global Warming, we will most certainly experience a future of ‘science’ controlled by government decree and of a world government that facilitates the operations of corporate industries while imposing severe restrictions and arbitrary taxes on the general public.

It's gratifying that we can still read articles like this -- even though it is in Pravda. So what?

Salute to the108-year young WWI hero

I like this story from AFP yesterday:

WASHINGTON — America's last surviving World War I veteran came to Congress on Thursday to ask lawmakers to create a memorial to honor his fellows combatants from "The Great War."

"What am I supposed to say? Oh yes -- the memorial, it's an excellent idea!" exclaimed 108-year old Frank Buckles, as camera bulbs flashed to capture the moment.

The wheelchair-bound centenarian, who lives in nearby West Virginia, pleaded his case to lawmakers that the federal city -- with monuments to honor veterans and fallen soldiers who fought in World War II, Vietnam and other conflicts -- needs a symbol to honor veterans of World War I.

Some 100,000 Americans lost their lives in the 1914-1918 First World War, one of the deadliest in history.

108 years young WWI hero asks to honor his comrades, will the politicians ignore him? God Almighty, let's hope and pray they can come to their senses.

According to his daughter that her father "is in good shape." How wonderful! And also these from the news report:

Buckles fought in the war beginning at the age of 16, and later was also a combatant in World War II, when he was captured by the Japanese troops and spent three years in a prison camp.

The US government has awarded him the World War I Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation of Germany Medal, while France bestowed upon him the French legion of honor medal.

Hey Mmm mmm mm Barack Hussein Obama, what have you done for the country lately?
