Have you seen this picture before? If you have and it does not bother you then you should not be here reading this blog. I had never seen or heard about it before. I can not deny that I am ignorant and unenlightened, but now that I have just learned about this Fabian Window from reading this and this articles, I am genuinely frightened.
From my ignorance I only know George Bernard Shaw as a famous writer, may be sometimes humorous and satirical, but I did not know that he was a founding member of this Fabian Socialist Society, designed this Fabian window, and said this:
"Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well."Even that might be just regarded as humorous and satirical, but I know he is really not kidding when I notice the following from Fabian Society's official website:

Why would a foreign group celebrate the one year anniversary of the election of an American president?
Now that everything alluded in William Kebin Stoos' article become clearly elucidated and make clear sense to interpret what we are confronting right now and that is downright frightening!
It was NOT an ordinary presidential election American people had last November. Little did we know that the 52.7% winner, while continued screaming "I win" all these time, took the election and turning it into a very big hammer and using the hammer to remould the country in the last eight month in ways we could never imagined as Mr. Stoos indicated. Americans, it's time to wake up now, and it's time to take that hammer away before it's too late. Can we do it in 2010? YES, WE CAN!
